This is my trout fishing diary. I write an entry and include some photos every time I go fishing. Writing makes me more aware of the countryside and the wildlife which is such a large part of every trip. During my school days I kept a fishing diary, I wrote notes and drew maps. Unfortunately I threw it away. Now, at the end of each season, the contents of my diary are printed and bound so that I can browse the memories, usually accompanied by a glass of wine.

I have been fly fishing for over 45 years and I am a member of the Leconfield Fly Fishing Club. Therefore most of my trout fishing is on the River Rother and the Leconfield Estate’s lakes. If you want to know more about the club please click on the link below.

I have included pages about my favourite pubs and fishing tackle. I write about anything that is loosely connected with trout fishing. If you want to comment on my diary please send me an email to nrainton@gmail.com. I will respond.
